Typically the life span of the carbon monoxide detectors doesn't start until the first power up. So they are most likely still good. We also carry detectors for gas and carbon monoxide should they no longer have any.

The first thing you will want to do is try resetting the detector. This can be done by holding the test button. If the Red alarm light is still on after a reset, and there are no gas leaks, it is going to be time to replace the detector.
